Research:

The main objective of our group's work is concentrated in digital speech processing:

       - speech analysis for biomedical purposes,
       - speaker verification and identification for security,
       - speech recognition,
       - speech synthesis,
       - speech enhancement,
       - voice conversion,
       - compression,
       - source separation,

specially based on wavelets, neural networks, plus other techniques. Our team is responsible for teaching disciplines on wavelets and speech processing for MSc and PhD students at IFSC/USP. Most part of our financial support has been received from the State of São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).
